Pray for Reassurance and Hope

In the darkest of times, in the heat of the battles, in the struggles and hardships of life, we can find great reassurance and powerful reminders through the book of Psalms of who God is. He alone is the One who can deliver and set us free from our troubles. So often we run everywhere else for help, but turning to His words of truth first is the best place to go. Praying God’s words back to Him aligns our hearts with His, brings peace to our spirits and reminds us that He’s at work on our behalf. It brings us comfort to know we’re never alone, and we can find refuge in Him and strength for our days.

Proverbs 11:11 has much to say about good and evil too!

ERV Blessings from the honest people living in a city will make it great, but the things evil people say can destroy it.

TLB The good influence of godly citizens causes a city to prosper, but the moral decay of the wicked drives it downhill

NLT Upright citizens are good for a city and make it prosper, but the talk of the wicked tears it apart.

VOICE A city thrives through the blessing of those living right, but the words of a wrongdoer will bring it to ruin.

11:11 The corporate implications of behavior are apparent: righteous lives strengthen the community, while the wicked corrupt and overthrow it.

ERV - 20 The Lord hates those who love to do evil, but he is pleased with those who try to do right. 21 The truth is, evil people will be punished, and good people will be set free.  Proverbs 11:20 and 21

REMEMBER The Past and Remember the Truth - Galatians 6:7 If you think you can fool God, you are only fooling yourselves. You will harvest what you plant.

Romans 12:19 ERV - My friends, don’t try to punish anyone who does wrong to you. Wait for God to punish them with his anger. In the Scriptures the Lord says, “I am the one who punishes; I will pay people back.”

John 3:16 - True way back when and true today. No one will ever prove it is not true!
